Jordan Pickford – Sunderland

One summer signing for Manchester City that has seen mixed results is former Barcelona goalkeeper Claudio Bravo, as several crucial mistakes have cost dearly throughout the campaign. Pep Guardiola can secure one of the best young talents at the position with a move for Sunderland’s Jordan Pickford.

The English international has displayed incredible potential for the Black Cats and could be ready for a new challenge.

A product of Sunderland’s academy, the youngster went out on loan to several clubs including Preston North End and Bradford City during the past few years. A year ago he was called back to his parent club, and has begun to show signs that he is ready for the English Premier League on a full-time basis.

Team-mate Vito Mannone has often been first-choice recently at the Stadium of Light, but that has not kept Pickford from producing solid performances in goal this season. The 22-year-old has recorded 73 saves in 16 Premier League appearances.

Injuries have had their impact, but Manchester City could secure a promising talent and improve their goalkeeping situation for the long-term with the signing of Jordan Pickford this summer.
