Arsenal have won six FA Cups Under Arsene Wenger

Arsene Wenger is one of only two managers to have won the FA Cup six times. The other is George Ramsey who won the trophy with Aston Villa half a dozen times between the years 1887 and 1920.

For all the abuse that Wenger receives for his club’s shortcomings this record should be noted. Even the legendary Alex Ferguson only raised the FA Cup trophy five times.

Arsenal are alive in this year’s competition with a favorable draw in the quarterfinals. The Gunners will host conference side Lincoln City. If Wenger’s side go on to win the tournament, he will become the most successful manager in FA Cup history.

Wenger’s prior FA Cup wins include:

  • 1998 – Arsenal 2-0 Newcastle
  • 2002 – Arsenal 2-0 Chelsea
  • 2003 – Arsenal 1-0 Southampton
  • 2005 – Arsenal 0-0 Manchester United AET – Arsenal won 5-4 on penalties
  • 2014 – Arsenal 3-Hull 2 AET
  • 2015 – Arsenal 4-0 Aston Villa
