3. Team mentality

At the beginning , the team didn’t seem to have a strong mentality as such. Key players such as Zlatan Ibrahimovic and David Luiz left for England and the team seemed to be short of a leader. When Ligue 1 went underway, PSG won their first game against Bastia with a lot of difficulty . There were rumors of Blaise Matuidi being unhappy at the club because he was denied a summer transfer to Juventus. The older players at PSG were reported to be unhappy with Emery’s methods and meetings were held to discuss these issueshttp://indianexpress.com/article/sports/football/unai-emery-tough-stance-paris-saint-germain-psg-3104505/. But as time passed, Emery’s relationship with the players started to improve . The team started winning more games and Emery’s methods were churning out results.

Now, since the start of 2017, PSG have drawn 2 and won 6 of their games in Ligue 1. The Champions Leauge win against Barcelona on Valentines day has been a huge source of inspiration for the team. The team has been in a good run of form and with the return of the PSG Ultras to the Parc des Princes , PSG have the extra backing and motivation they need .

The overall mentality of the team has improved considerably since the start of the season and they look more like a family than just players of a team. Their strong ability and mentality was at its peak in their 1-5 Classico humiliation of Marseille on sunday. They clearly seem to have what it takes to get back on the top and win the title.
