A desire to be the focal point

One aspect of Willian’s game that he would certainly like to change this summer is his club’s focus on his own skills and abilities. This season at Chelsea, along with stops at Russia’s Anzhi Makhachkala and Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donetsk, has seen the driving focus of a line-up occasionally go through others around him.

With a potential move approaching this summer, he would likely find the same frustrations at Old Trafford.

While rumours circulate regarding Manchester United, other clubs may be able to better suit the talented Brazilian.

Willian’s pace and stamina make him a fantastic threat out wide, and can stretch even the best defensive alignments. His precision and power on free-kicks can be absolutely lethal as well.

A top priority in the coming months for Willian will be to find the club and the manager who can get the most out of skill set, and produce within a system that can see him thrive.

He knows he can play well under Mourinho, but not necessarily with his current Manchester United line-up.
