Leanardo Jardim

What Leanardo Jardim has done at Monaco, much like Diego Simeone, is nothing short of incredible. The Portuguese has turned Monaco into the best attacking side this year with the club having already scored 82 goals in 28 games played in Ligue 1 in France, Jardim’s Monaco sits atop of the table three points clear of defending champions Pairs Saint-Germain and also surprise team Nice.

Getting another manager from Monaco could be appealing to Arsenal but if they are looking for a manager who fits what the club is looking to achieve, they really should look no further than Jardim. What makes what Jardim has achieved this season so special is that Monaco are not a team filled with expensive superstars or who have spent a lot of money on the team.

While that was originally the goal of the club once they were bought out by Dmitry Rybolovlev and had seen them spend a 140 Million pounds on buying players such as Radamel Falcao and James Rodriguez, the team is now awash with young players either coming through the youth academy or through players bought a young age, is remarkable compared to the hundreds of millions spent by rivals PSG.

Jardim would be a dream target for Arsenal fans if he was to set Arsenal up in the way that he has set Monaco up. He has proven that he is capable of getting the best out of young players, finding hidden gems of players and turning them into superstars and getting the best out of them. While he may not be as big of a name as Allegri or Simeone or as trendy as Tuchel, to me he is the perfect manager for the club.
