A review of the players with the most at stake.

The 2016-17 campaign is nearing its ultimate finish, with Real Madrid focused on making history. Currently sitting atop the Spanish top flight, Los Blancos are aiming to become the first club to win consecutive European titles in the UEFA Champions League era.

Few teams anywhere in the world must cope with the pressure that is present at the Santiago Bernabeu, as expectations for Madrid are always extremely high. The focal point is the Champions League, also with great importance on capturing their first La Liga title since the 2011-12 season.

Club president Florentino Perez has built a star-studded squad with some of the world’s best footballers, only adding to the rabid nature of supporters when it comes to success and silverware.

But Perez’s search for the next installment of Los Galacticos brings constant change, for both players and management. Whether in search of a new contract, a transfer to another club or looking to gain more minutes on the pitch, being a part of Real Madrid can create unique situations and scenarios.

We highlight and review five players from manager Zinedine Zidane’s side that will be playing for their futures in the coming weeks.
