Key cog of Liverpool of success this season

When Liverpool wrote a check for £34 million to prize the Senegalese international from Southampton last summer, many wondered why the Reds would splash on a gifted winger whose lack of consistency with The Saints.

Fast forward to 2017, Mane has been nothing short of sensational with his new club, salvaging 12 goals and five assists to Jurgen Klopp’s side.

Despite deviating Liverpool for the African Cup of Nations in January, Mane maintained his terrific form once he returned to Anfield. Reds are in contention to play Champions League football for the first time since Luis Suarez departure in 2014-15, thanks to Mane.

The Senegalese international may not be on Suarez’s level, but the future’s looking bright at Liverpool.
