A key cog to Conte’s machine, Kante will undoubtedly win the Player of the Year if his terrific form continues. As good as Eden Hazard and Diego Costa has been, Kante is the driving force behind the Blues success.
The humbled midfielder has been receiving praises all season for unbelievable play, but the Chelsea star is not losing sight of what’s important.
“It is true that I receive a lot of praise and that is flattering,” Kante said told reporters while on France duty.
“But I try not to let it affect me. The important thing is to end the season well.
“I am really happy with my performances this season and I made the right decision in coming to Chelsea. We are in a good position and we are playing some great football.”
After schooling his international teammate Paul Pogba, football most expensive player in the FA Cup quarterfinals with his 20 yards strike to defeat Manchester United, Kante has doubled his own value.
