Flexibility in the line-up

Neymar has demonstrated an incredible flexibility in his play in a variety of positions, making him a dangerous player nearly anywhere on the pitch. In this case, a potential move to Manchester United could see him succeed in a myriad of ways for manager Jose Mourinho.

The Portuguese tactician has used several different formations in the current term, with defenders and midfielders utilised in different ways depending on the opponent and match situations. Neymar’s ability to play out wide, as a striker or in central midfield could see Mourinho’s philosophies evolve in magnificent ways.

Neymar’s pace, vision and absurd skill on the ball can open up even the best of defences. Working with the likes of Paul Pogba, Juan Mata and Marcus Rashford make for truly exciting possibilities both for Jose Mourinho and Manchester United supporters who want to see a more proactive style.

If United bring back Zlatan Ibrahimovic for another season, goals could become a frequent sight with Neymar in the line-up.
