Arsenal may finish outside of the top four but it would not be as catastrophic as some are predicting

Everyone has seen those t-shirts, posters & memes based on that English WWII mantra “keep calm and carry on”. Nowhere is that more relevant these days than at the Emirates Stadium.

With Arsenal facing the real possibility of missing out on the Champions League for the first time in 20 years fans have been voicing their outrage at the manager and the club. The vitriol has at times been so toxic that you would think the club is beyond repair.

Arsenal fans should probably keep that motivational message, keep calm and carry on, in mind no matter where the Gunners finish in the table.

Take a deep breath, sit back and look at the facts. Yes Arsenal will lose out on Champions League prize money, but let’s be honest, they’ll survive. Arsenal are fifth on Forbes’ list of the world’s most valuable football clubs. It will hurt the North London side’s pride more than its bank account.

Maybe it’s just the jolt that the team needs to realize that it needs to fix the problems within the organization.

Arsenal fans should take heart at the precedent set by others. With that in mind here’s a look at some other top clubs that have survived similar circumstances.
