AC Milan

There was a period of time when the thought of AC Milan not participating in European football would have been unheard of. That era has now come to an end.

Following 15 straight seasons of European qualification, the Rossoneri are now on the outside looking in. Over the past three years the team has finished eighth, tenth and seventh respectively.

Last summer the club was sold by longtime owner and former Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi to a Chinese investment group for €740m.

It doesn’t appear that things are changing so fast for AC Milan. The team is presently seventh in Serie A and 20 points behind leaders Juventus.

Time will tell if current manager Vincenzo Montella and the new owners can restore AC Milan to its former glory in Europe. The good news is that the team is still one of the biggest clubs in the world and ranked number 12 on the Forbes rich list.
