4. Psychological factor

Chelsea FC have the psychological advantage going into this match as the blues beat City 3-1 away at the Etihad stadium.

Since they have already beaten City this season away from home the pressure is on City to beat Chelsea at their own ground.

More from Playing for 90

Manchester City may feel they need to prove a point by beating Chelsea FC and will look to attack and score goals. This will feed right into Chelsea’s game-plan and Antonio Conte will set up the blues to defend and counter-attack. As we all know Chelsea are one of the most dangerous sides to counter attack and with the speed of Eden Hazard and Willian/Pedro along with Costa spearheading the attack, Chelsea will be able to score with ease.

The likes of John Stones and Otamendi will simply not be good enough to stop Chelsea’s counter attack and they will concede goals.

Additionally Chelsea FC will have more motivation to win after their recent disappointing loss to Crystal Palace at home. The blues very rarely lose two matches in a row at Stamford Bridge and I can’t see this happening again. Chelsea will put things right after the loss and bounce back against City with a resounding win.

Diego Costa missed a number of chances against Palace and is on a bit of a dry spell. Expect Costa to put things right in this game by scoring against City.

With the Blues still seven points ahead the pressure is on City to win this match to close the gap for the title race. Chelsea FC will be at ease and will win.
