Monaco want a world record transfer fee if they’re going to let their star Kylian Mbappe to go in the summer according to reports in France.
Monaco star Kylian Mbappe was sensational in their Champions league first leg against Borussia Dortmund and scored a brace for the French Ligue 1 leaders.
His finish for the 3rd goal was reminiscent of a Thierry Henry like finish which helped them finish off the first leg 3-2.
With Manchester United, Manchester City and Real Madrid among others all keen to sign him, Monaco have revealed that they will require a world record transfer fee eclipsing Paul Pogba’s £89m deal to Manchester United last summer.
Mbappe has scored 21 goals in all competitions this season and is still amazingly only 18 years-old.
His performances in the Champions league have put all of the big clubs on alert and will monitor his situation closely.

It’s reported that Monaco plan to sell Falcao in the summer to the highest bidder and want to keep Mbappe on for next season. However they’re resigned to the fact that they will have to eventually sell him with 2018 being in mind.
Mbappe is fantastic in all areas of the game. He’s fast, he’s agile and he can score goals. His finishing is Henry-esque and he’s good in the air. He’s also still growing physically given his young age at 18 so he still has at least two-three years of growth in height.
I believe he will go to Real Madrid to replace Karim Benzema who has never quite reached ‘galactico’ status at the club. Real Madrid want to sign the next Messi/ Ronaldo and will not want to allow any other club to get him.

This could also mean that Real Madrid may halt on getting Chelsea’s Eden Hazard but I don’t believe the signing would affect Hazard if he did go to Real Madrid given their different positions.
