Right winger: Alexis Sanchez, Arsenal

As unbelievable as it sounds, Alexis Sanchez is not in the PFA team of the year. I’m a bit confused as to why or how that happened. Although I agree Liverpool’s Sadio Mane was electric throughout this season and deserves the nomination, he’s also been injured a lot.

Sanchez has kept Arsenal’s hopes of making the top four at the end of the season. He’s consistently bailed them out of games that they may have lost. Sanchez was nominated for PFA player of the Year though so at least he’s in that, but it’s still a bit confusing.

Sanchez has scored a staggering 19 goals this season despite playing much of it from the wing rather than in striker position.

The Chilean has also made 9 assists for his Arsenal teammates. But when you look at the goal scoring tall from Arsenal it seems Sanchez really as been carrying this team. Walcott has chipped in, along with Giroud but Ozil has been missing most of the season.

He has the second highest overall rating on whoscored of 7.76. behind only Chelsea’s Eden Hazard.
