Premier League PFA Alternate XI-Chelsea and Tottenham stars feature
Central Midfield: Kevin De Bruyne, Manchester City
Kevin De Bruyne has made the most assists (13) in the Premier League this season. He’s also chipped in with 4 goals for Manchester City.
De Bruyne has been deployed in a slightly more deeper role in the City offense lately. Pep Guardiola for whatever reason thinks he’s more effective there by being able to produce some magnificent long balls splitting the opposition defence.
The Belgian play-maker has an average of 2.7 key passes per game (key passes are the final ball leading to a shot on goal) and an average of 80.9% pass accuracy.
His crossing is also often lethal with an average of 2.1 crosses per game. He’s able to pick out Aguero with his potent right foot.
While City may have not had the best season, De Bruyne is still one of the best players in the Premier League which is why he’s made my list.
