1. Tottenham’s firepower

Last season, Tottenham could be criticized for depending too much on Harry Kane to score goals. Partly out of necessity, Spurs have solved that problem this season. Now Pochettino’s squad can score goals from various attacking positions.

Chelsea will correctly enter the match very concerned about where Kane is at all times. The England striker will garner a ton of attention from Conte’s back three. Unfortunately for Chelsea, that’s when their trouble will begin.

As the back three is trying to handle Harry Kane, acres of space will open up for Dele Alli, Christian Eriksen, and Son Heung-Min. Those three have been prolific attackers for Spurs as of late. That layer of the Tottenham attack will give them the advantage over Chelsea. Son, in particular, might start the match on the bench, but he’ll still be a factor.

In matches like this, teams need to get goals from the midfield. Tottenham are in a better position to make that happen. That’s the number one reason to expect a massive Spurs victory today.
