The North London derby is one of the biggest fixtures on the Premier League calendar. Two teams packed full of stars. We have sifted through the Tottenham and Arsenal squads to put together the best combined eleven!
Spurs have grown into title challengers under Mauricio Pochettino. Arsenal, on the other hand, have waned. The derby has the extra dimension this year of being pivotal to the title race. Tottenham will know the result of Chelsea’s game at Everton and will face all the pressure. They will either need a result to stay in touch or have the opportunity to close the gap.
Arsenal still have a fantastic chance to maintain their record of qualifying for the Champions League which is currently at 17 seasons. Despite constant inclusion in Europe’s best competition the Gunner’s Premier League title drought is now at 12 years. They hate seeing the title going anywhere else but the idea of it coming to White Hart Lane is unbearable.
We have picked a combined XI in a 442 formation. With very few natural wingers to choose from the midfield selection is with a diamond in mind. It is an attacking lineup because, why not? We all love goals!
