It was a comfortable win for Tottenham

In many ways, Tottenham’s easy 2-0 win over Arsenal was much larger in historical significance than it was as a simple football match. Ending the Gunners’ tyrannical reign over North London was huge. Dispatching a pretty weak Arsenal squad was business as usual for Mauricio Pochettino’s club.

There were still plenty of lessons to be learned during the match though. It lacked fireworks, but it gave both club’s a clear idea of where they stand in relation to one another. Suffice it to say, Spurs fans will feel much better about themselves in the match’s aftermath than their rivals.
