Harry Kane-6.5

Some fans might be a little surprised to see such a mediocre rating by Kane’s name. After all, he did manage to earn, and convert, a beautiful penalty to put the match out of reach.

That’s true, but it doesn’t hide the fact that he was anonymous for long stretches. He was virtually invisible for the opening half. As a result, he entered the second half utterly determined to score at all costs. That worked out via the penalty, but it made Kane too selfish to really bring his teammates into the fray. It was a pretty average performance from an exceptional player.

Dele Alli-7

Tottenham’s other goal scorer didn’t exactly have a banner day either. Dele put in a solid shift and scored a tidy second half goal. On the other hand, he didn’t manage to dominate Arsenal’s questionable midfield like he’s capable of.

Against a better team, his first half miss could have come back to haunt Spurs. Fortunately, he made up for it by scoring the match winning goal in the second stanza. That’s enough to earn him good, but not great marks.
