1. It’s a massive opportunity for Spurs

As I mentioned in the open, Tottenham have a chance to cut Chelsea’s lead to a single point with a win. For a club that has a historical reputation of “bottling” such opportunities, this squad has shown no such propensity.

Instead, this Tottenham side have piled pressure on the Blues at every opportunity. Every time Chelsea win a match, Spurs are quick to match their result and keep the title race alive. I can’t see them passing on their best opportunity to put their competitor’s under real pressure.

Perhaps things would be different if they were coming up against a club in top form. West Ham just aren’t playing that well. As a product of each club’s position in the table, the match simply means a lot more to Pochettino’s club.

A win against West Ham may not power Tottenham to the title, but it will get them as close as possible. Back Spurs for an emphatic victory in this London derby.
