Top five transfer needs for Barcelona

Youth and depth
Nearly every club anywhere in the world wants to have players who are both young and talented. Barcelona have certainly enjoyed the fruits of one of the best academy systems in football, but recently that has not always been the case in the first team.
Players like Lionel Messi, Xavi, Andres Iniesta and Gerard Pique all came through the famous La Masia. But now, Barcelona have not been able to see the same results from their youth development.
With this thought in mind, a focus on certain transfer targets will likely be increased thanks to age. 19-year-old Theo Hernandez and 22-year-old Hector Bellerin are excellent examples, as talent and potential make for unique possible signings.
While La Masia certainly still can produce, it is not necessarily an area that Barcelona and their new manager next season can completely count on immediately.
