Tottenham player ratings v Manchester United: Wanyama dominates the midfield
Harry Kane-7.5
It wasn’t Kane’s best match in a Spurs shirt, but he scored a beautiful goal. There’s something wildly appropriate about him scoring Tottenham’s last ever goal at the Lane.
Even short of his best, he’s still an absolute nuisance. His hold up play was really good against United’s physical back line. Time and time again, he occupied defenders to the benefit of his attacking teammates.
On a different day, Kane might have scored two or three. As it was, he just notched one home against United. That was enough to give his club the historic win.
Hugo Lloris-7
It’s hard to talk much about the Frenchman’s performance. He didn’t have any chance to stop Rooney’s second half goal. Lloris also wasn’t forced into any difficult saves. SImply put, he did what was necessary to get his club the victory.
Moussa Dembele-7
When Dembele came on, he did what he always does. He settled the match down in the midfield and stabilized Spurs when they were on the ball. The Belgian wasn’t on the pitch for a long time, but he made a positive impact.
Kyle Walker-7
Walker was surely disappointed not to get the start, but that doesn’t mean he didn’t make an impact. His pace was a welcome addition to the Spurs back line for the match’s last 12 minutes or so.
He looked much steadier against the likes of Rashford and Martial once he came on in relief of Trippier. Walker may not be the most skillful player on the ball, but his elite athleticism allows him to compete against the quickest players on the planet. If he leaves Spurs this summer, it needs to be for a lot of money.

Georges-Kevin N’Koudou-6
The fast Frenchman looked for a moment as if he was going to be the last man to score at White Hart Lane. Instead, he offered a sumptuous cross that could have been a tap-in for a teammate making the right run. He didn’t have a chance to do a ton, but I believe he still has a future at Tottenham.
