Stories have surfaced that James Rodriguez will leave Real Madrid this summer for Manchester United. The Colombian midfielder should consider his options before making this move

James Rodriguez became a household name with his standout performances at the 2014 World Cup. The attacking midfielder was the winner of the tournament’s Golden Boot scoring six goals in give matches. He led Colombia to the quarter-finals and became a highly sought after transfer target.

Rodriguez signed with Real Madrid following the World Cup and has spent the past three seasons with Los Blancos.

Since Zinedine Zidane became Real Madrid’s manager in January 2016, Rodriguez has seen less playing time. This has led to speculation about a possible transfer away from Madrid.

Manchester United continues to be mentioned as a destination for the Colombian. There have even been reports that Rodriguez has already agreed to a deal in principle.

Zidane denies that the player will leave the club this summer. Time will tell whether he stays or goes elsewhere. If indeed Manchester United is interested in Rodriguez, he should think long and hard before signing.

There are a number of problems currently associated with United. Here are five reasons why Rodriguez should snub the Red Devils this summer.
