5. Kenedy

Kenedy had a tumultuous season after getting very little game time at Watford and then Chelsea. Kenedy went to Watford on loan at the start of the season but only played for about 15 minutes. He then got injured  and didn’t feature at all for Watford again. Kenedy returned to Chelsea in December.

Interestingly, Kenedy made his only Premier League start this season for Chelsea against Watford in their second-to-last game. He also featured in a FA Cup game against Brentford.

The Brazilian has probably only played around 130 minutes of football this season.

The 21-year-old did well to not whine though about his lack of game time and showed his maturity to Antonio Conte.

But Conte really needs to give the kid a loan to a club that will actually play him in every game. Surely, this can be written into the loan contract as a stipulation? I’m not too knowledgeable about loan contracts per se but it seems reasonable for a club to ask that their player gets sufficient game time while on loan. The loan at Watford was simply a disaster.

It will be ideal if Kenedy goes on loan to another Premier League club like West Brom or Swansea. You know, clubs like that who will actually play him.

He is a good attacking winger and can also play as a left-back or wing-back. If Kenedy develops into the player Chelsea FC fans hope he does, then he would make an ideal left wing-back for Chelsea.
