Real Madrid and Zinedine Zidane will look to hoist its first league title since 2012, when they visit Malaga on Sunday.

Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane believes his squad has earned the right to be only one point from regaining La Liga title away from fierce rivals Barcelona when they face Malaga in round 38.

With three points ahead of the Catalans, Madrid will travel to South of Spain, while Barca will host Eibar at the Camp Nou. It’s almost guaranteed that Luis Enrique’s side will defeat Los Armeros, but will need help from Malaga to retain La Liga title.

This fixture will not be easy for Los Blancos as former Real Madrid midfielder and current Malaga’s coach, Michel has salvaged against Barcelona, Sevilla, Valencia and Celta at La Rosaleda.

In his pregame news conference Zidane revealed Madrid deserved to be in the position they’re in because of their hard work and commitment throughout the season. The Frenchman was also asked whether everyone wants Los Blancos to falter, which he did not hesitate to say things like this do not bother him or his players.

"“I don’t know about everyone, but many people for sure do not want Madrid to win it,” Zidane said. “It has always been like that, but that does not bother us.“We know where we are. We know we must win it on the pitch, as we have done until now, working hard, battling, never letting our hands down. It is very difficult to win La Liga over 38 games.“Every week, or every three days sometimes, you must show that you want to win it. And we have done that. We deserve to be first at the moment, but we must finish it now in the last game. It will be the most difficult for sure.”"

Ex-Barcelona forward, Sandro Ramires, who was released by the Blaugrana last summer, has been vocal about his goal to demoralize Madrid in hope of giving his former club the title.

“Hopefully I can score and hand the title to Barcelona,” he told La Liga World.

“Hopefully it’s a dream day. I owe them [Barca] everything.”

Sandro really lost me here, why would you want to do Barca a favor after they released you? A true competitor would go out there and show the world why deserves to be in Barca’s uniform instead of Paco Alcacer, who has been disappointing thus far.

Let’s hope Sandro doesn’t think that by trying to do Barca this massive favor that they’ll bring him back. Focus on the task at hand and take care of your business.
