Harry Kane led the Tottenham assault

Tottenham didn’t have anything tangible to play for at Hull, but that didn’t stop Spurs from administering a beat down. Harry Kane’s hat trick led his club to an emphatic victory to close the 2016-17 campaign.

The talented English striker wasn’t the only standout on the day. In truth, the entire Tottenham attack had a field day against the hapless Hull defense. It was almost sad to watch Michael Dawson struggle to marshal a reasonable defense against Mauricio Pochettino’s attack.

It was also an exceptional day for some of the club’s defenders. Both Kieran Trippier and Ben Davies wanted to send a message they are more than capable of being starters next season. Dominating an already relegated Hull might not quite accomplish that goal, but they did all they could to put on a show in front of their manager.

The only negative from the match was the inability of the Spurs defense to keep a clean sheet. Hugo Lloris entered the day with a chance to tie Thibaut Courtois to share the Golden Glove. Unfortunately, Sam Clucas’ 66th minute blast ended any chance the French captain had to secure that honor.

It was a dominating day for Tottenham but, of course, some stars played better than others. Read on to discover which of Harry Kane’s teammates matched his illustrious performance.
