Just what does Liverpool FC need in the summer transfer window?

The Reds have needs, but who they get should depend on who goes.

It is easy to get caught up in all of it. Of course, with a big club like Liverpool, the rumors surrounding who is coming and going are endless.

One thing that gets lost in the shuffle with all the rumors is context. Looking simply at who is linked to Anfield is fantastic. More importantly has to be who’s leaving and what does the club really need.

It’s not an exact science because the rumors change with the day. Today someone is leaving and someone is going. Tomorrow, it’s completely different.

With regards to Liverpool, manager Jurgen Klopp is known as someone who doesn’t mess around. In his first season, he wrapped up transfer business by the middle of July. That’s smart because it gives more time for new players to gel with current staff.
