Barcelona’s “MSN” front-line is in the conversation for one of the greatest attacks in football history, with all three of their forwards producing astonishing statistics during the 2016-17 season. What set Luis Suarez apart from Neymar and Lionel Messi was his ability to do a bit of everything in the final third.

The former Liverpool striker led La Liga with 13 assists, while finishing second on the league scoring list with 29 goals.

It was once again Suarez’s amazing determination that stood out during the campaign, with a fight that simply would not quit when taking on the opposition. The Uruguayan international battled defenders for many goals, but always kept his sights open around him to assist team-mates as well.

He also enjoyed the benefits from tremendous play around him, as both Messi and Neymar helped to open up space on either side of the talented forward.

Barcelona’s 4-3-3 formation suits their talents well, as no other club scored more goals in La Liga during the past campaign (116).

Controversy is never far from Luis Suarez. However, breathtaking performances normally come along with him as well.
