5. Martin Braithwaite, Toulouse FC

The 25-year-old Dane started the season with an absolute bang, putting up six goals in the first six games (and seven of the first nine) in the talent-rich Ligue 1.

Anchored around a catchy #Score2Help campaign, Braithwaite powered Toulouse to an early Top 4 standing (before fading in 2nd half of the season) that led to a rejected West Ham bid.

Much like fellow Scandinavian Forsberg, Martin Braithwaite was signed from his home league for cheap (a reported £2 million).

Since arriving, Braithwaite quickly jumping the internal hierarchy to become captain, the first Scandinavian to accomplish the feat in Ligue 1.

Similarly, Braithwaite is an affordable option for Arsenal that could fill several holes.

An ambidextrous striker, the speedy Dane can play the wingers and offensive midfield positions. More importantly, the Dane would add much-needed leadership, poise and stability to the squad.

Toulouse has said that the side is willing to part with their captain this summer.

And here’s the kicker: Braithwaite comes with a rumored £10 million (according to reports) — a superb value for the rebuilding Gunners that could add value short-term while cashing in two-to-three years down the line.
