Cristiano Ronaldo is no longer seeking an exit from Real Madrid, according to reports.

After public support and being comforted by Real Madrid president Florentino Perez, Cristiano Ronaldo reportedly wants to remain with the club, as if he was ever leaving.

The Portuguese international, whose header salvaged 1-0 win over Russia in Wednesday’s Confederations Cup, has been targeted by  Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain and AS Monaco after a Spanish authorities accused Ronaldo of tax-fraud evasions, per Marca.

The accusation includes the 32-year-old not paying £13 million of earnings from image rights in the British Virgin Islands and the Republic of Ireland in order to evade paying tax.

On Monday night during a radio interview, Perez defended his star player of any wrongdoing.

"“I know him and he’s a top professional and person and all this is very strange,” Perez said.We have complete faith that Cristiano has always acted out of good faith because we know what he is like. It has affected me how the media treated Cristiano; the presumption of innocence was not respected.I believe everyone must comply with their tax obligations, and I know that Cristiano always does things the right way.Cristiano has the same corporate structure he had in England, where he spent many years without problems.I am sure that Cristiano complies with his tax duties, it must be a confusion that will be cleared.”"

Perez also rebuffed any suitors in pursuit of Ronaldo’s service adding the striker’s buyout clause is £1 billion, and no team has come forth with an offer even though hes’ been heavily linked with a return back to the Old Trafford.

Was Real Madrid going to let its all goal scoring leader exit? Even at the age of 32, Ronaldo has been magnificent. Since the beginning of 2017, the forward has been absolutely relentless, scoring 32 goals and distributing seven in 32 games for both Real Madrid and Portugal.

Indeed, Ronaldo was seeking public support and most importantly a support of Perez because the football world needs Ronaldo to remain with Los Blancos to continue his rivalry with Lionel Messi and Barcelona. That’s what football is all about, entertainment and Ronaldo is arguably the most recognize athlete in the world.
