Liverpool may bring Suso back to Anfield
Tottenham currently hold the advantage over Liverpool in the transfer race to sign Suso. However, no one should count the Reds out in their quest to bring the talented attacker back to his old Premier League home.
Skybet still favours Suso staying at AC Milan next season, but if he does leave, the oddsmakers believe he’ll make North London his new home. Curiously, Liverpool are the next most likely club to bring Suso back to England. It’s curious because, of course, Suso has already called Anfield home.
In fairness, Jurgen Klopp wasn’t in charge of the Reds when Suso was shipped off to Italy. He certainly has a different idea of what type attacker would thrive under his high pressing system. It’s entirely possible that the talent Suso displayed for AC Milan last year convinced Klopp that he’s ready to make a successful return.
Evidently Mauricio Pochettino has come to the same conclusion. He’s made the 23-year-old winger one of his club’s top summer targets. There’s only one small detail that seems to make him joining Spurs pretty unlikely.

The simple fact is that Suso has made it quite clear that he doesn’t want to leave his Serie A home. Sky Italia reports that he isn’t remotely interested in moving to Tottenham or any other club in England. It begs the question why links between Tottenham, Liverpool and Suso continue to pop up in the English press.
My ultimate conclusion here is that AC Milan are floating the idea of selling Suso to some of the world’s richest clubs. They’d be happy to keep him next season, but they haven’t dismissed the idea of selling him for what they believe would be a healthy transfer price. He may want to stay at AC Milan, but the club aren’t convinced he’s a key part of their long-term future.
