Neymar leaving Barcelona for PSG is the stunning move of the transfer window. We have a list of 5 players Barca should target to replace the Brazilian.

It is the story that has come out of the blue. In the age of endless rumor and speculation there was no forewarning that this sensational transfer was around the corner. Now it appears Neymar will move to PSG in a £195 million deal. Barcelona are unable to do anything as the fee reaches the release clause in his contract. It wouldn’t just be a world record transfer, it would double the world record.

Neymar has increasingly been feeling like the odd man out. After watching Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez form a brother like bond, the dressing tension has gotten too much for the Brazilian. He wants the star acclaim and power that Messi wields at the Nou Camp. Now Paris Saint Germain are willing to give him that power.

There is already a strong contingent of Brazilian stars in Paris. Thiago Silva and Lucas Moura have recently be joined by Dani Alves. The Ligue 1 club could be a sanctuary for the young star away from the pressure and politics of Barcelona.

With 200 (very) big ones burning a hole in their pocket Barca are sure to splash out on one or two replacements. Most likely a forward and/or and attacking midfielder to reshape the most potent frontline in Europe.
