5 players to replace Neymar: Pablo Dybala

The Juventus forward has already had his audition. A spectacular solo performance against Barcelona in the Champions League semi-finals gave them an up close taste of what they would be getting.

More of a natural forward than either Coutinho or Hazard, Pablo Dybala is the most like-for-like replacement on this list. Though he is not as proven as those two stars. It is hard to judge attacking talent in Serie A as the style of play is much more negative. However his Champions League performances will most likely negate those concerns.

He is given license to drift at Juventus, working behind Gonzalo Higuain who plays centrally. It is likely that he would be asked to take up more of the left-sided attack at Barcelona. His second goal against Barca came from just that position. His flexibility would be a huge plus with both Suarez and Messi also prone to switch positions and confuse defenses.

The press in Argentina are constantly speculating about the Argentinian’s relationship with his international colleague Lionel Messi. They have yet to show a genuine connection on or off the field at international level. Dybala represents the future while Messi is the present.

There are already reports of Barcelona’s interest with one bid turned down. Armed with the money from the Neymar deal they will surely be able to get Juventus to talk. Juve have already shown a willingness to sell top players by letting Bonucci leave to rivals AC Milan.
