3. Georges-Kevin N’Koudou might have a role to play

Vincent Janssen wasn’t the only Tottenham attacker under pressure to show promise against PSG. French winger Georges-Kevin N’Koudou also needed to generate some momentum. Fortunately, his performance did show quite a bit of promise.

Let’s face it, if you didn’t enjoy seeing him skate past Dani Alves on multiple occasions then you aren’t a true football fan. His combination of trickery on the ball and raw pace makes him an interesting selection for Pochettino. The key for N’Koudou will be adding consistent quality in the final third to his game.

Showing some moments of promise in a friendly is a long way from becoming a quality Premier League contributor. Still, N’Koudou’s activity and involvement were bright signs of progress in the first half. It’s quite possible he could still force his way into Pochettino’s plans this season.

In fairness, his involvement this season might hinge on a lot of external factors. Erik Lamela’s health and the distinct possibility that Spurs might purchase a direct competitor could make N’Koudou’s hill too great to climb. He shouldn’t give up though, a few more performances like this could greatly alter his future in North London.
