Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane is worried about his squad poor pre-season performances in the US.

Pre-season is about getting your team up and ready for the upcoming season, while giving the youngsters an opportunity to showcase their talent. When any other club fails to win a game in four pre-season matches in normal time, you hit the panic button, this shouldn’t be the case for the European champions, Real Madrid.

Manager Zinedine Zidane has expressed his frustration saying, “bad sensation” following Real’s United States tour where they club failed to win a game during 90 minutes.

The Spanish champions ended its upscale pre-season tour with a win against the MLS All-Stars in penalty shootout after 1-1 draw in regular time.

Indeed, it hasn’t been a glamorous tour for Real Madrid with a stunning defeat to Manchester United, 4-1 humiliating beat down to Manchester City and losing 3-2 against rivals Barcelona in El Classico.

Should these results concern Zidane as they get ready for Tuesday’s UEFA Super Cup clash against United?

"“The sensation overall is not good,’ said Zidane. “It’s good that we got the result, but the sensation is not positive overall. We only won one out of four games.“The tour is done, now we have four days to go back and prepare for the Super Cup, which is our first official match, and obviously we have some things to work out.“We started poorly, especially with results, and sometimes we hit a bad streak in those four matches. What I want and what everyone wants is to get back home and have a little bit of a rest.”"

In all honesty, veteran players rarely takes pre-season seriously as they usually prefer resting their bodies for a lengthy season.

More from Real Madrid

Talisman Cristiano Ronaldo, who was given an extra rest by the Frenchman is expected to rejoin Madrid on Saturday, but is doubtful to face his former club and Europa League champions Manchester United in Macedonia.

Unless something terribly goes wrong, you will be fine with your array of talented squad Zizou. Madrid usually rose to the occasion when their back is up against the wall.
