Pochettino wants to add as many as four players to Tottenham this summer

Tottenham fans are understandably concerned over the club’s lack of activity in the summer transfer window. To date, Spurs are the only Premier League club yet to make a signing. In fact, the club’s only meaningful transfer activity has been to send talent away from North London. That means last year’s second place Premier League finishers have yet to strengthen their title credentials for this season.

In fairness, it’s not as if players are leaving in droves. Kyle Walker moved to Manchester City in a big money deal and Josh Onomah secured a potentially valuable loan to Aston Villa. Otherwise, Pochettino’s squad remains in tact. That means bona fide superstars like Dele Alli, Harry Kane and Hugo Lloris will still call Tottenham their home club when the season commences.

Even so, the Argentine gaffer still wants to add “energy” to the squad. He isn’t interested in adding mediocre talent, instead he wants players with the ability to challenge his very best stars for playing time. Pochettino raised more than a few eyebrows with his revelation that Tottenham may add three or four players before the transfer window slams shut.

That admission begs the obvious question of who those players will be. Pochettino didn’t opt to divulge any names, but that’s what we’re here to help you with. Read on to discover the top four most likely signees that will strengthen Spurs squad heading into the 2018-19 campaign.
