Arsenal need to tighten its defense and stop making sloppy passes

The fact that Arsenal had 70% of the possession yet gave away three goals is not a good sign.

The Gunners’ passing was at times shocking. They gave the ball away often and thus allowed Leicester to score more easily than they should have.

The usually sharp Ozil, looked out of sorts and made a number of wayward passes throughout the contest.

The defense appeared to be asleep at times as well. Poor defending on a Leicester set piece was on display in the 56th minute. Jamie Vardy met Riyad Mahrez’s corner and easily beat Arsenal’s zonal defense.

Regulars Laurent Koscielny and Shkodran Mustafi did not play. Regardless, the entire Arsenal defensive unit is going to have to tighten up significantly if the club is going to challenge this season.
