Arsene Wenger makes good use of his substitutions

Arsenal were down 2-3 in the 67th minute when Wenger brought on substitutes Ramsey and Giroud. The two went on to win the match and make their manager look like a genius.

Ramsey was left out of the starting lineup for precautionary reasons. Yet it was his sublime angled shot in the 83rd minute that began the comeback.

It was then time for the man who has become the Gunners’ super sub. Olivier Giroud headed home a Granit Xhaka corner with five minutes remaining in regulation. It proved to be the match winner.

Giroud has often been vilified by fans, but repeatedly comes through when needed. Since the start of last season, he has scored seven Premier League goals after coming off the bench.
