3. United have the know-how to win titles

With the signing of Matic, Manchester United now have plenty of experience in their squad. Club captain Michael Carrick has won everything with the club, while Antonio Valencia, David de Gea, Chris Smalling, Juan Mata, Victor Lindelof, Ashley Young and Paul Pogba have all been part title-winning squads over the years.

Manager Jose Mourinho is a serial winner and has won league title with every club he has managed. In a long season where every game is crucial, it is important to have experienced players who can help guide the youngsters and lead the team to trophies.

Matic played an important role in Chelsea’s two title wins in the last three years. And he has shown his calming influence already in the two games he has played for United so far. After Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s departure, United needed a player with a winning mentality and a strong personality. And Matic can provide exactly that from the middle of the park.

Last season’s Europa League success will have also given United’s youngsters plenty of motivation ahead of new season. Winning trophies breeds success and creates a winning atmosphere. Manchester United’s experience and know-how could give them an edge when it comes to the league title next season.
