Arsenal have a more potent offense

Now that Stoke City are back to playing football, the reality is that the Potters’ attack is not as potent as that of Arsenal.

The Gunners had four different goal scorers in the club’s opening day win. In addition to Alexandre Lacazette, Danny Welbeck, Ramsey and Olivier Giroud, Arsenal have the ability to score goals from all over the pitch.

36-year-old Peter Crouch was Stoke’s top scorer last season with ten goals in all competitions. While always a threat, Crouch is coming to the end of his career.

Striker Saido Berahino signed for Stoke after a promising start to his career with West Brom. He’s only played 14 matches so far for the Potters but has yet to get off the mark.

Other attacking options for Stoke include Bojan, Xherdan Shaqiri and new signing Jean-Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting from Schalke 04.

No disrespect is intended towards Stoke’s offense, but Arsenal’s ability to put the ball in the back of the net is much more of a constant threat.
