Liverpool, Arsenal or elsewhere: Where could PSG’s Julian Draxler transfer?
By Tom Bogert
Monaco
It doesn’t make perfect sense, but, Monaco have been rumored with Alexis Sanchez so why not?
With Tiemoue Bakayoko, Benjamin Mendy, Bernardo Silva all out the door and Kylian Mbappe inching closer to the exit, the club has money to spend and quality to replace.
Monaco is still an impressive side. They’ll be around the top of the table in France, likely to be a distant second place to PSG, but won’t be a pushover in the Champions League. They still have Thomas Lemar, Kamil Glik, Fabinho, Joao Moutinho, Falcao and Mbappe (for now.) They’ve purchased Youri Tielemans and Adama Traore already, and Draxler would be a fantastic addition.

Draxler would add more experience and quality to the side, and effectively replace Silva. If he leaves not long after joining as he did with Wolfsburg, then they’d likely sell for profit next summer. Better than not having had him at all.
In 12 league starts at PSG after making his move in January, Draxler scored four goals, created 21 chances with 1 assist. A full season in Ligue 1, as well as a guaranteed starting role behind Mbappe and Falcao, the assists would flow.
It may not make sense for PSG to sell to a direct rival, but if they hope to land Mbappe in the coming years, they can’t refuse to negotiate. Plus, they’ve got Neymar and a head start of more than half a billion in investments, they’ll be fine.
