Tottenham are anxious to erase last weekend from their memory

It’s no secret that Tottenham suffered a painful defeat against Chelsea last weekend. Despite dominating possession, Spurs couldn’t manage to unlock Antonio Conte’s stingy defense. That combined with one horrible gaff from Victor Wanyama and Hugo Lloris gave the Blues all they needed to earn three points.

That was last weekend though, this Sunday against Burnley will be a much different challenge for Spurs. The Clarets don’t have the same talent that Chelsea do, and will likely arrive at Wembley looking for a draw. Mauricio Pochettino will need to make sure he starts a very offensive side capable of slicing Sean Dyche’s defense open.

You can be sure that Tottenham’s players will be desperate to win all three points at Wembley. The entire squad is tired of answering questions about their temporary home. Battering Burnley won’t stop the questions entirely, but it will serve as a step in right direction.

For Pochettino’s side, there’s no room for a moral victory. The Argentine gaffer has to deploy a squad that is ready to get all three points against Burnley. Look for Spurs to start a significantly different side this weekend than the XI that capitulated to Chelsea last Sunday.
