The Reds enjoyed an eventful window as their sagas dominated the headlines for most of the window. They were found guilty of trying to tap up Virgil van Dijk from Southampton early on. And in the end they failed to sign him despite being linked with him all summer.

However they did add some strong attacking reinforcements. Mohamed Salah looks to be a really good signing for Jurgen Klopp’s men. While Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will add versatility to the team. Andy Robertson is an upgrade to James Milner and Alberto Moreno at left-back.

They also kept Philippe Coutinho, despite the strong efforts of Barcelona to sign him. But it remains to be seen how he will react to this failed move and if he will give his 100% for Liverpool this season.

Furthermore, their decision not to sign a centre-back is baffling to say the least. What’s more, they sold their best defender Mamadou Sakho to Crystal Palace. Defense is a real issue in this Liverpool side. But barring that, they have had a strong window and they will be a good bet for a top 4 finish this season.
