Harry Kane-9.5
The primary job of a striker is to score goals. Kane managed two against Everton. As such, it’s difficult for me to give him anything other than high marks.
Of course Kane provided his club much more than just his two goals. His persistent movement plagued the Everton defense all match long. Kane has an uncanny ability to create space for teammates by dragging the defense all around the final third. His motor is one of the central tenants of the Tottenham attack.
Christian Eriksen-9
The classy Dane only managed to score a rebound goal, but I thought this was one of his best outings as a Spur. His exquisite passing was on display all match long. On a different afternoon, he could have ended up with a bag full of goals and assists.
it’s clear that Eriksen’s confidence is growing with each passing match. That might be the only thing standing between he and absolute stardom. If Eriksen’s ego ever matches his skill level, it’s going to be a nightmare for Premier League defenders.
Dele All-6.5
Dele didn’t do anything wrong in the match, but it wasn’t anything to write home about for the English phenom. He did his job keeping the Everton defense off-balance, but nothing in his repertoire of moves really came off. It was a pretty anonymous match for Tottenham’s young midfield ace.
