Tottenham will keep things fresh against Swansea

Mauricio Pochettino is quite pleased at Tottenham’s performance against Dortmund midweek. It seems that Spurs have finally managed to vanquish their Wembley hoodoo. He knows, however, that his club can’t take anything for granted as his squad takes on Swansea today.

That’s why the Argentine gaffer is going to do his best to keep things fresh for his squad. The most obvious change Pochettino will make is to insert Fernando Llorente into his starting XI. His midweek comments made it clear he fancies the Spaniard’s chances of tormenting his old club.

If you’re thinking that means Harry Kane is going to find himself on the bench, think again. I’m predicting that Pochettino will make the bold choice to start two strikers up top against Swansea. By doing so, he can get Llorente much-needed playing time while also putting out an aggressive lineup that will take the fight to their opponent.

That does, of course, mean that Pochettino will once again be changing up Tottenham’s formation. He frequently toggles back and forth between four and five at the back, but this time the changes will be up top. Read on to discover how Spurs will adjust their formation to accommodate two strikers starting the match.
