5. Serge Aurier can run wild

For a player who has only managed to log a match and a half for his club, Serge Aurier has already become a Tottenham fan favourite. If he plays to his full potential against West Ham, he’s going to further endear himself to the Spurs fan base.

Aurier’s presence on the pitch should give Spurs a massive advantage on their right flank. It’s very likely that his main competition will come in the form of Chicharito and Aaron Cresswell. Each of those players have a particular set of strengths, but they can’t match Aurier’s elite athleticism.

If Tottenham can dominate possession as expected, Aurier is going to be a nightmare for the Hammers. Chicharito isn’t going to want to track back all match which will leave Cresswell on an island. That’s a serious mismatch. Aurier can blow by the Hammers’ fullback with ease.

When he does, that’s going to severely compromise the West Ham defense. Aurier may not find the back of the net himself, but he’ll be in excellent position to create scoring chances for his teammates. Look for him to get the ball into the West Ham final third early and often.
