Tottenham will welcome Ben Davies back to the starting XI

West Ham will host Tottenham on Saturday in one of this weekend’s more interesting Premier League encounters. Fortunately for Spurs, they’ll be able to field a relatively healthy starting lineup for this crucial fixture.

Whether or not Tottenham fans really consider West Ham to be a rival, this is a London derby. That means both teams will start strong lineups designed to deal savage blows to their opponents. Anything less than three points will be viewed as a failure by Spurs fans while a lopsided defeat could equal the end of Slaven Bilic’s time at West Ham.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side will be buoyed by an unlikely returning hero. Ben Davies has been maligned by man Spurs fans during his time in North London (myself included) but his play in relief of Danny Rose has been nothing short of brilliant. His presence on the pitch was sorely missed in the club’s 0-0 draw at home to Swansea last weekend.

With him back in the starting XI, Spurs will feel like they can really attack West Ham’s defenses on both ends of the pitch. That balance will be crucial to Tottenham’s efforts to control this match. Read on to discover the full starting XI that Pochettino will trot out against the Hammers.
