The Champions League began again this week with Europe’s biggest and most influential clubs back in competition for the most prized tournament in club football.

Europe’s most prized football competition has begun and finally the giants are back to battle.  There were a few big matches but the games mainly went the way they were predicted between the giants and the small teams.  Few upsets happened but in the end good football was played all around and it’s good that the Champions League has begun again.

With all the big players from Ronaldo to Messi to Dybala in play the Champions League was in full swing in this opening round.  It even included some first time participants like FK Qarabag out of Azerbaijan.

Chelsea returned to the competition after a years absence and Liverpool and Sevilla made appearances again.  Some clubs punched above their weight and other matches went exactly as the bookies would have predicted.  As per usual the Champions League was as full of drama as it always is.
