Moussa Sissoko-7

I saw a lot of negative chatter about Sissoko at the half on social media but those people watched a different match than I did. The Frenchman didn’t play a perfect match, but he did plenty to help Spurs win this important derby.

More fans should pay attention to the space that Sissoko creates with his runs from deep. Oftentimes he isn’t the recipient of the ball, but he does drag defenders away from the likes of Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen. Fans need to understand Sissoko doesn’t have to score a goal or notch an assist to put in a solid shift for his club.

Eric Dier-5.5

The English international was a passenger today. He was very lucky that Pochettino didn’t really have any other midfield options available to him. Honestly I can’t recall a single positive contribution he made on the afternoon.

Dier is coasting on his reputation at the moment. If his form doesn’t improve quickly, he’s going to find himself on Pochettino’s bench for the rest of the season. He can’t afford another poor effort like the shift he put in against West Ham.
