Christian Eriksen-8

The talented Dane got the match off against Barnsley to regain his legs. That decision paid off in spades as Eriksen put on a terrific performance against the Hammers today.

It wasn’t just his goal that made his play so excellent. His passing was a key factor in both of Kane’s goals as well. When Spurs get the ball to Eriksen in space good things happen. He has the unique ability to pick apart the opposition from both advanced and recessed positions. Eriksen was an absolute danger man today and made West Ham pay for their mistakes against him.

Dele Alli-7.5

Dele may frustrate fans when tries to take opponents on and gives the ball away, but his courage is a key aspect of Tottenham’s attack. Even when his chances aren’t coming off, he strikes fear in opponents.

Fortunately, today things were coming off for Dele at a respectable clip. He provided the assist on Kane’s opening goal with a lovely cross into the box and Kane’s second goal came as a result of a rebound from Dele’s shot on goal. The English starlet’s late runs into the box bothered West Ham all match long and arguably were the difference in the match.
